When I moved to Nepal I threw up every day for a week before I left, prompting my flat-mate to leave a home pregnancy test on the bathroom counter for me. Turns out I was just nervous.
Don't worry, there will come a time when this will seem silly and you will realise that you are feeling totally comfortable with your decision.
(And on the off-chance that this doesn't happen, it's not like you are renouncing your aussie citizenship... you can always come back.)
Take a swig of Mylanta to settle those nerves and the burning reflux that tends to accompany them (go on, straight out of the bottle like a true rebel) and settle in for the adventure.
If all else fails, you are sure to get some pure gold material outta this, and giving your kids a chance to experience a new country for more than just a quick holiday is pretty awesome.
Gosh, I've really been inhabited by Loki today. What mischief-making is this? I think it's because I'm going on holidays tomorrow so I'm feeling zesty.
It's totally NOT wrong to feel the way you're feeling - I liken it to sky-diving or something equally as challenging/risky/rewarding. (Not that I've ever sky-dived, but I have given up a job to travel, so you know, kind of similar).
As Louise says, you will have a blast, learn lots and adjust to a different way of life. And of course, you'll enjoy yourself.
And really, you've had two children. That's a life experience I don't know if I could ever even handle. So as far as upheavals go, I would imagine you're fairly well qualified on that front!
Now let's all join hands for a positive energy circle!
