"You get onto them! Before you hop on the plane, ask them right then and there, 'now has this plane been serviced properly? Are you sure?'"

Yeah, on learning of my impending trip to the US (I'm afraid to say, a day before I left) my Dad gave me the advice, which he had no doubt gleaned from a 1980s New York comedy, 'Stay away from the parks! There's lots of crime in the parks in America! Keep right out of those!'

Just any anon - Hehe, my favourite was when we moved to Melbourne a few years back and my mum was all: "Stay away from crowded places, ESPECIALLY the mall!"
